Every year, Google holds an event to announce some of the company’s biggest new developments. Google IO has been held since 2008 and presents the main news and updates relat to the brand. In 2017, numerous new developments were demonstrat to programmers and users of the services that Google offers.
Among so many new functions and technological possibilities, the highlight is the Android operating system, which despite being renew every year still manag to bring an innovation that not everyone expect.
Google Lens function
One of the first new features present by Google was Lens, which will be available in a few months and is completely link to the use of the Android device’s camera.
According to a demonstration on stage at the event, Google Lens will be able to recognize objects and places and thus define what they are. The demonstration came with a flower in which Lens, just by “looking at it”, could identify what type of plant it was.
Lens would be a great feature to amplify the search methods done through Google.
Google Assistant for iPhone
The iPhone, a device that uses Android’s biggest rival as its operating system, will now receive a version of Google Assistant. The function that was previously only seen on spain phone number data Google’s operating systems will now be present on Apple’s smartphone, which shows an expansion of the market and new possibilities for programmers.
New updates for YouTube
YouTube is perhaps the largest video streaming service on the planet and according to data from Google, it has reach the mark of more than 1 billion hours watch daily. This information only shows how relevant the updates are and how they cause a tremendous impact on the cyber community.
YouTube’s main update concerns YouTube Live, the service that provides live videos.
